Ninemeister are an independent Porsche specialist located in the centre of Warrington in the North West of England. Owners Colin Belton and Marc Clowes have been working on the Porsche marque for over 15 years, Colin using his Mechanical Engineering degree to seed numerous Porsche tuning projects since running his first 911 race car in 1988. Marc joined the business in 2003 when he relocated his bodyshop into Ninemeister’s 11,000sqft premises and brought with him a similar engineering knowledge and comprehensive understanding of Porsche repair and restoration techniques.
The business is split into three working areas:
9m Technic is the service operation and is fronted by Service Manager and ex-F1 technician Robin Taylor who has probably forgotten more than most know about repairing Porsche’s. Alongside Robin is time served technician Mark Raynor who looks after the majority of the engine rebuilds within the 9m premises. 9m Technic can service, maintain and upgrade all current and earlier Porsche models, their speciality being 964 & 993 engines into 3.2 Carreras; 968/964/993 superchargers and 930/965 turbocharger upgrades to 500hp.
9m Panelcraft is the bodyshop side of the business run by Marc Clowes in conjunction with our expert painter Miles Carter, famous for his painting skills on custom motorcycles and helmets – the original designer of the Carl Fogerty “Shark” helmet – and to say that they are both perfectionists would be a gross understatement. The latest 9m Panelcraft project is to put the aircooled M003 Clubsports back into production. Dubbing them the 9m64RS and 9m93RS we are building the RHD versions of the car that Porsche should have made first time around – keep a look out for these in the usual 911 magazines soon as we think they are going to be seriously popular.
9m Racing is ninemeister’s performance development shop which has always had an excellent reputation for tuning Porsche’s. Since 2000 Colin has been specifically working on the 911 normally aspirated engine development, when the concept of making pistons & cylinder heads first took root with the acquisition of sophisticated engine wave modelling software. The results of this groundbreaking development is this extensive range of engine parts featured in this brochure. Alongside Colin is Senior Technician Paul Wilkinson, who has brought considerable engine building & turbocharger tuning experience to the Racing operation. Such is the depth of expertise within ninemeister, Marc Clowes co-developed the 9m 968 supercharger conversion, fresh from the success of which he is now overseeing a similar development for the Boxster S.
